Leaving the Conchas Chinas and travelling further south on Route 200, the highway hugs the coast. Passing The Hyatt Ziva hotel (previously Dreams and before that the Camino Real), Costa Sur, our first timeshare and the new Grand Fiesta Americana. The highway climbs a small hill at Punta Negra, with a turn off on the left to El Nogalito, which actually means little oak and the town got its name from the small oaks found in the higher regions up the river also called El Nogalito.
Further south the highway passes Garza Blanca, an upscale hotel and residence.
Then passes one of the best beaches in the bay, Playa Gemelas (Twin Beaches) with The Best Western Hotel. At the end of the Mismaloya Map we come the the village, where The Night of The Iguana was made, now with the Barcelo Hotel and inland our Zoo.
Further south of Mismaloya is Boca de Tomatlan where you can catch Water Taxis to Yelapa and other beaches on the south side of the bay, which do not have road access.
